The Archdiocesan leadership say they are all about “dialogue”, and happily meet with small groups of individuals, yet they won’t meet with us who represent over 2700 lay faithful in the Archdiocese. They are using different weights and measures for the politically connected priests and parishes in certain “planning areas” in this All Things New process. There are 196 dioceses in the United States. Only 32 are Archdioceses. If you look down the “spine” of our country, at the Archdioceses along the Mississippi: St. Paul and Detroit are already bankrupt, Chicago is morally bankrupt and only avoided bankruptcy because of the wealth that had been donated over time to the church, and New Orleans is going through bankruptcy now, but had the first abuse scandal in 1994 (8 years before the Boston Spotlight Scandal).
