VIDEO: 268 Priests serving in Archdiocese…help us understand the shortage for 178 parishes?

Attached is our priest list for the Archdiocese of St. Louis sourced from public records which shows plenty of priests (268 by our count). If you think we are wrong, send us an email at INFO@SOSTLP.ORG and tell us which priest on the list is not actually serving in the Archdiocese. From the beginning, the Archdiocese claimed lack of finances, changing demographics, and lack of priests for their reasons for All Things New. The $1.2 Billion balance sheet of the Archdiocese takes the lack of finances myth away. Our demographic research, for example that Missouri is one of the top 2 states in the U.S. with the fastest growing Catholic populations, takes the changing demographics myth away. Now, we are going to talk about the priest numbers.

    I do not see St. Joseph in Farmington MO
    That is in St. Francois County. Also I didn’t see the mission churches listed.
    St. Anne in French Village covered by Father Holbrook and St. John’s in Bismarck covered by Father Huber.

    Correct me if I have over looked anything. .

    Priests of the Institute of Christ the King are not ‘diocesan priests’. They are provided by the Institute of Christ the King, which is a society of pontifical right. Their superior general oversees their assignments across locations throughout the globe. Situations such as these, along with those of religious (i.e, the benedictines) showcase that parts of this interpretation are not fully clear.
