Defending The Faith, Saving Sacred Space

VIDEO: Rupture of trust requires more transparency not less!

If our shepherds want to restore trust, they should have MORE transparency, not less. The timeline for how the St. Joe-Zell parish school was closed is shocking! On Sunday December 15, from the pulpit Fr. Ryan Weber says there has been no decision about the school and all input is welcome. On Monday December 16, Fr. Weber sends a letter to the school families announcing he has recommended closure of the school to Archbishop Rozanski who immediately agreed. On Tuesday December 17, the St. Joe-Zell Parish Council meets and recommends keeping the school open. Every single person who is affected by the closure of the St. Joe-Zell school has canonical rights. Start asking for EVERYTHING in WRITING. You can absolutely petition the Vatican. Are these school closures just a move for more centralized control by Archdiocesan leaders of our parish schools?
